BRAYDON UNRUH

My name is Braydon Unruh. I was a member of LTD as a high school kid. I then earned a scholarship to play at Calvary University where I broke several school records and several national awards. LTD has helped me realize the importance of my faith in Christ. At LTD, I’ve been pushed to grow spiritually and I’ve become more consistent in developing my relationship with Jesus.

I feel that God is teaching me humility through basketball. Sometime it’s very easy to become prideful and arrogant about our accomplishments. I’m learning to recognize God’s ways of humbling me and reminding me that I don’t have to have everything figured out. I know that Jesus alone saved me and is taking care of the plan and purpose he has for my life. He has always watched over me… even through hard times. In high school, I tore a ligament in my knee which put me out for part of my senior season. It was very challenging mentally and physically.

Through the disappointment and uncertainty, God provided. If it hadn’t been for that injury, I may not have ended up at Calvary University where I met my wife (Avery). God is always present and working even when we feel all alone. My life’s goal is to fulfill the purpose that God has for me, and to honor Him everywhere I go!
