The primary purpose of the LTD Exhibition Tour Teams are to develop positive relationships with academic and professional basketball institutions worldwide in the hopes of helping them better their programs through competition while maintaining its overall mission of impacting lives for Christ. The teams are comprised of former college and professional athletes that compete against top NCAA, NAIA, Junior College and International Professional competition. Since 2003, Livin' The Dream has been competing against College teams throughout the Midwest. Our teams have competed against nearly every level of competition including NCAA II, NAIA, as well as Junior College. Our Men's & Women's teams are comprised of former college and professional athletes and each team typically plays 12-15 games during the months of October-December. dominican republic- 2O19
LTD will partner with Hispaniola Mountain Ministries (HMM) and Dribble 4 Destiny on a tour to the Dominican Republic. The tour is set for August 31-September 8, 2019. The team will travel the country competing in exhibition contests against professional teams as well as conducting basketball clinics for youth. UKRAINE & POLAND - 2O13
Livin' The Dream traveled to Ukraine and Poland for their 4th International Tour during the summer of 2013. The tour began with a team comprised of 9 players and two coaches that competed in the DREAM LEAGUE Summer Pro-Am to help prepare for the International competition. LTD once again partnered with Dribble 4 Destiny, a ministry out of Greenville, South Carolina to assist Fellowship of Christian Athletes-Ukraine by developing relationships through the game of basketball. Each ministry partnered by playing exhibition games against professional teams and conducting basketball clinics for youth and coaches throughout Ukraine and Poland. The trip to Poland helped pave the way for a new Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministry in Poland.
France - 2OO9
Livin’ The Dream embarked on its’ third International Tour to the country of France. The tour began with a prison game in the United States against a team out of the Kansas State Penitentiary. Then, the team was off to play six additional games in seven days against top level French professionals. Livin’ The Dream partnered with The Chapel of Akron, Ohio and Dribble 4 Destiny of Greenville, South Carolina to share the message of Christ through basketball. The team played in various parts of the country, visited prisons and churches, and developed positive relationships with French natives. LTD won five of the seven games played in nine days.
Spain & Holland - 2OO7
Livin’ The Dream set out for the countries of Holland and Spain for its' second InternationalTour. A team of 12 young men from all over the Midwest were selected to travel abroad to represent LTD, their country, and to use the platform of basketball to proclaim their faith in Christ. The team conducted basketball clinics for disadvantaged youth and competed against top European professional teams. These opportunities served as a way for many of the LTD players to showcase their talents in the hopes of landing jobs with European professional teams. The team faced formidable opposition while enduring a very challenging travel schedule. LTD ended the tour with three losses out of four games by small margins, but did pull off a sizeable victory against a tough opponent in the Dutch professional team Omniworld.
Spain - 2OO5
Livin' The Dream began its inaugural International campaign by traveling to the country of Spain during the summer of 2005. A group of 19 people represented Livin' The Dream by taking part in basketball exhibition games against Spanish professional teams, hosting basketball clinics for disadvantaged youth, and working alongside a Christian ministry that resources Arab workers in Spain. LTD took daily tours of Barcelona and surrounding areas, held Bible studies, and developed friendships with people of different races and religious backgrounds. The team was undefeated in four games against Spanish professionals.
